Pick-up truck loses control and crashes close to a school

The white Nissan pick-up truck smashed into the railings by Baycroft School, in Gosport Road, Stubbington, at 1.51pm yesterday.

A spokesman for the Hampshire police said: ‘The road was partially blocked.

‘The driver got out all right and an ambulance was called to the scene.

‘No-one has been arrested.’

A spokeswoman for Hampshire County Council said it was aware of the crash but added no students had been injured and the crash didn’t affect lessons.
