Gosport MP encouraging groups to sign up for grant

GROUPS are being encouraged to apply for a grant for projects based around the First World War.

MP Caroline Dinenage is encouraging her Gosport constituents to consider applying to the Heritage Lottery Fund.

The fund will be supporting projects across the UK that focus not just on the events of the First World War, but also on the lasting changes it brought about.

Grants of £3,000 to £10,000 are available for groups to explore, conserve and share their First World War heritage.

Ms Dinenage said: ‘I am delighted that the Heritage Lottery Fund is making this money available to communities.

‘Since it began in 1994, it has given £9.7m in grants to projects in Gosport.’
