Hampshire County Council to get share of £175m to improve road safety
THE county council will receive a share of £175m to improve safety on certain roads in the area.
Hampshire County Council is one of eight local authorities taking part in a national government initiative and will benefit from the cash over the next four years.
Councillor Rob Humby, executive member for transport, said: ‘We have been working on the potential of route assessments and so were pleased to see this approach adopted.’
