Re-opening of Southsea pier '˜as unclear as ever' fears senior Tory councillor
Councillor Luke Stubbs says there have been ‘many false dawns’ in connection with the venue.
It comes despite People’s Plan for Southsea campaigner Nick Courtney releasing pictures showing extensive work that’s been done to improve the outside look.

‘Money has certainly been spent, but whether that means the whole thing is going to open and when, is as unclear as ever.’
Mr Courtney says the pier’s owners hope to reopen part of the attraction early next year, with a view to a full reopening by the summer.
