Remembrance Day 2018: Here is how Portsmouth is preparing to mark Armistice 100Â
Melodic tunes are ringing out across the city centre - which 100 years ago today was packed with thousands of people celebrated the end of one of history's bloodiest conflicts.
Members from Portsmouth Choral United are rehearsing songs for today's ceremony as veterans begin to make the way into the square.

Hide AdOn the big screen, more than 6,000 names of Portsmouth soldiers killed during the First World War are being shown.
While by the cenotaph, wreaths have been organised in preparation for the remembrance service at 11am.
Major Keith Allcock is the leader of the veterans platoon that will soon be marching proudly into the square.
The 76-year-old, of Military Road, Hilsea served with Reme Airborne.Â

Hide AdHe said: '˜Today means everything for servicemen. They were our forefathers.
'˜My grandfather served in the First World War and my father served in the Second World War. They were incredibly lucky to survive.
'˜I think today's service is going to be fantastic. It's always brilliant in Portsmouth but this year will be extra special.
'˜The support of the public when we parade raised the always raises the hairs in the back of your neck.'

Hide AdFellow Reme Airborne veteran Ken Allen, 80, of Chichester was with Maj Allcock. He said: '˜This is lovely, it really is. Today is going to be emotional.'
The parade is expected to begin at 10am with the service concluding at midday.Â
