Want to make a difference?

THOSE wanting to make a difference to the community are being encouraged to become a local councillor.

Havant Borough Council is encouraging those who feel strongly about something in the borough of Havant to step forward and make a change. 

Nick Leach, Havant Borough Council's senior lawyer and returning officer, said: '˜Anyone who has the desire to make a difference and help to shape the future of the local community in Havant can do so by becoming a local councillor. 

'˜Political neutral candidates can stand as an independent.'

 Anyone interested in becoming a councillor will have the opportunity to talk with current councillors between 12pm  and 2pm today at the Meridian Shopping Centre.

Or, at Tesco Extra in Havant on Thursday at the same time.
