Members of the Solent branch of Women Against State Pension Inequality (Waspi) met with Portsmouth South MP Stephen Morgan.

They are campaigning after claims the government did not tell women about changes to their state pension which saw many receiving less money than expected.

The group holds events to inform women who could be affected and have been lobbying the government.

They met with Mr Morgan recently for a coffee to talk about any updates.

A spokeswoman from Solent Waspi said: '˜We are grateful for Mr Morgan's continued support to our efforts and willingness to help women affected by the change in state pension age.

'˜This event helped raise the profile and provide much-needed advice to women.'

Mr Morgan added: '˜It was good to host another coffee morning with Solent Waspi who are campaigning on behalf of the 9,000 women in our city affected by this. I will continue to do anything I can to support them.'
