WATCH: Portsmouth navy divers to dispose of Second World War bomb in London today
The airport was closed all day yesterday due to the Second World War bomb while the divers attended the incident.
With the airport now reopened, the divers are moving the bomb out to a safe place in the sea for disposal.

Hide AdLieutenant Commander Jonny Campbell, the officer in charge of Southern Diving Unit 2, said: ‘We are taking the necessary steps to ensure the device is as safe as possible before we remove it from the sea bed and tow it away to a safe disposal site.
‘We will then attach high-grade military explosives before carrying out a controlled explosion. The aim is to cause as little disruption to the city of London as possible.’
A spokeswoman from the Royal Navy said: ‘We’re expecting that the bomb will be disposed of at around 11am today. It is being towed away to a safe place as we speak.’
