Rampaging peacocks on the loose in Horndean
Matt Parker, 29, and his partner Kat Hooker, 27, spotted the birds about two to three weeks ago in Acorn Drive, Horndean.
The animals have been seen on roofs and trees – and have been keeping people up.

Hide AdWord has spread around the village and people have been driving into the estate to try and catch a glimpse of the birds.
Matt said: ‘They’re rampaging peacocks, that’s what we’re calling them.
‘It’s probably been about two or three weeks now.
‘They make the same noise as the bird from the kids film Up.
‘This morning I got up at five o’clock as we’ve got a newborn they were on the roof.
‘It’s just quite funny, all the neighbours go out.

Their arrival coincided with the birth of Matt and Kat’s son Oscar Parker, now three weeks old.
Matt added: ‘They arrived when our son was born.
‘We thought he was going to be keeping up all night but then we’ve got peacocks keeping us up.
‘We’ve noticed we’ve had people coming driving around, it’s quite a new estate we live in and there’s quite a few people driving around – they’re not looking for the houses – they’re looking for the peacocks.’
The RSPCA has been contacted, Matt said.
