Rowlands Castle village fair promises to be bigger and better than ever

THERE are just a few days left until a much-awaited summer fair.

After months of preparations, the Rowlands Castle village fair will take place on Saturday from 11am.

Grahame Morrison, from the fair committee, said: ‘This year will be another highly enjoyable day, during which the entire village can experience the attractions of a traditional English village fete.

‘As usual there will be a range of stalls offering up a mix of cakes, crafts and all manner of other goodies.

‘We will continue to subsidise the children’s funfair so that prices are kept to a very reasonable 50p a go on most rides, meaning that little ones can have loads of fun without emptying their piggy banks – or parents’ wallets.

Stansted farm shop will be returning to provide hot food on the day and we will have the return of the traditional Punch and Judy show, rides on a mini traction engine, the dog and duck show, a fire engine as well as the packed programme of events in the arena.’

Tickets are on sale from the Londis store in the village.
