Shoppers donate to charity cause

MORE than £500 was raised for charity at an awareness day.

The Macular Degeneration Awareness day held at Sainsbury’s Broadcut Fareham raised £517.41 on July 1.

Fareham Mascular Support Group’s voluntary group leader David Kett said all the cash will go to the charity.

He said: ‘Thanks to the generosity of the shoppers, we collected £517.41 and, as we incurred no expenses, all this money will go to the charity to support sufferers.’
