Palaeontologist Neil Morris, who specialises in prehistoric shark species, will be at the aquarium on Monday and Tuesday to give a series of talks about extinct species.

Visitors can also help feed sharks and rays on selected dates, enjoy workshops and learn about sharks in the wild.

Jenna MacFarlane from Blue Reef said: ‘Sharks are always one of the first things visitors want to see when they come to the aquarium.

‘This event will provide visitors of all ages with a real insight into these fascinating fish and their truly extraordinary history.’
