Standing on the far left of this Edwardian group of gentlemen is Herbert Dewey who was the maternal grandfather of Sarah Pilbeam, from Widley.

They were in Guernsey for a competition and appear to have won. But which sport were they competing in?

If anyone recognises the flags and that odd-shaped ball and can tell me the sport, I’d like to know.
