12.55pm UPDATE: Long delays on M27 as crash between car and lorry closes all lanes by Fareham

LONG delays are expected on the M27 between Fareham and Whiteley as all three lanes are closed.

A crash between a lorry and a red Ford B-Max Zetec has shut the westbound carriageway between junction 10 and junction 9.

Emergency services are on the scene following the incident at 11.55am today.

Drivers are being advised to avoid the area.

A spokesman from Hampshire Police said: ‘The westbound carriageway is closed between junctions 10 and 9.

‘It is involving a lorry and a red Ford B-Max Zetec.

‘Fire and ambulance services have been called to the scene too.

‘We believe the car driver had neck pains and the fire service were removing the roof.’

Hants Road Policing tweeted: ‘Road closed but opening in about 30mins.

‘Avoid area if possible. Long queue.’
