Fire crews called to burning car at HMS Nelson
Staff at HMS Nelson were quick out the blocks this morning after smoke was spotted coming out of a car outside the naval base.
A fire crew from Southsea station were called just after 9.20am after a small fire was discovered in the car’s engine compartment.
But despite the crew racing to the scene, a member of staff quickly put the fire out using an extinguisher.
There was no-one in the car at the time.
