Men bailed after fatal crash at Southwick

TWO men arrested on suspicion of death by dangerous driving after a teenager died in a crash have been bailed.

It comes after the 19-year-old from Portsmouth died on Saturday night.

A 24-year-old man and a 21-year-old man, both from Portsmouth, were arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

A Hampshire police spokeswoman said they have been bailed to a date.

A second passenger, an 18-year-old from Emsworth, is in hospital after suffering life-threatening injuries.

Police are appealing for information on the crash, which happened at around 11.17pm on the B2177 near the junction of Pitymoor Lane.

A statement said the silver Nissan Almera left the road, which was closed while investigations took place.
