UPDATE: Road re-opened after woman cut from car following crash in Gosport

A WOMAN had to be cut from her car after a crash with a lorry in Gosport.

A main road in the town was closed for nearly three hours after the collision today.

The incident, on Anns Hill Road at the junction of Brockhurst Road, involved a lorry and a Ford Fiesta.

The driver of the Fiesta, a woman believed to be in her 60s, had to be cut from the car after complaining of back pain.

A spokesman from Hampshire Police said: ‘We were called just after midday to a collision between a lorry and a car.

‘Firefighters also attended the scene after the driver of the car complained of back pain.

‘She suffered minor injuries and was treated by paramedics.’

The road was closed until around 2.30pm causing delays in the area.
