Firefighters called to crash on M27

Firefighters are at the scene of a crash on the M27 this afternoon.

Part of the westbound route between Junction 7, at Hedge End, and Junction 5 at Eastleigh was blocked this afternoon.

Traffic information service Romanse said the first lane was affected, with traffic being diverted onto the other two lanes.

The lane was cleared at about 3pm. There were delays of more than 15 minutes for drivers.

A crew from Hightown Fire Station was called to help make the scene safe, according to Hampshire Fire and Rescue.

It is not known whether there have been any injuries.
