Long delays on A27 Chichester by-pass

DRIVERS faced long delays westbound on the Chichester bypass after a crash yesterday morning.

There is still congestion on the A27 Chichester by-pass after an earlier accident.

The incident occurred between the Bognor and Fishbourne roundabouts, but led to congestion for motorists travelling toward Havant.

Chichester Police said: ‘We have one lane shut on the westbound carriageway of the A27 on the approach to the Fishbourne roundabout. It’s causing heavy traffic on the westbound carriageway.’

Officers confirmed the lane was reopened around 8am but heavy traffic remained.
