Train driver on line between Brockenhurst and Lymington escapes injury after branch smashes through cab

Network Rail have said the train was travelling between Brockenhurst and Lymington Town when the train collided with a branch overhanging close to the track.
The incident happened at 6.30am this morning (June 11) with services being delayed until 10.12am while Network Rail teams removed the branches from the train line.

Hide AdFollowing the incident, National Rail tweeted: ‘Fortunately no-one was hurt.
‘This is why it is important we remove or trim branches that are near the railway.’
