THE ferry service connecting Portsmouth and Gosport will be unaffected by the forthcoming closure of Portsmouth Harbour Station.

Work to replace the 142-year-old Burnaby Road bridge will close Portsmouth Harbour station from Monday, February 12 to Friday, February 16, as National Rail replaces the bridge and completes track works.

But the team behind the Gosport Ferry has confirmed on Twitter that the service will be unaffected by the maintenance work and will be running as normal throughout the week.
