Tributes paid to fantasy author Terry Pratchett

TRIBUTES have been paid to fantasy author Sir Terry Pratchett.

Colin Telford, from the Hayling Island Bookshop, met Sir Terry in 2008 when the shop launched his novel Nation.

He said: ‘Sir Terry was keen to meet all his fans and gave them all time to speak to him and ask him questions.

‘He was very professional and I am extremely saddened that he has died.

‘He was a great writer and he will be missed.’

Sir Terry died yesterday aged 66, having had Alzheimer’s disease for eight years.

He wrote more than 70 books during his carer.
