Trolley Dash at Sainsbury's raises funds for children's charity

Sainsbury’s in Commercial Road chose The Children’s Bubble Fund, a charity which supports the unit, as their charity of the year for 2017.

They’ve been fundraising ever since and as part of their efforts set up a trolley dash, where customers paid £1 for a ticket in hopes of being chosen to take part in the dash.

Dean Skinner from Bognor Regis was the lucky winner and picked up items such as chicken, coffee and pet food.

Andrea Gilkinson-Pooley, store supervisor at Sainsbury’s, said: ‘Dean was given one minute to pick up items and was very happy with what he got

‘He enjoyed the experience and was glad he could help to suppport such a great cause.

‘With funds from the trolley dash included we’ve now raised £3,760 for the charity, and we’re all happy to help raise awareness about how poorly some of the kids in the paediatric unit are, and the support they need.’
