Portsmouth weather: Temperatures set to plunge after city basked in bank holiday sunshine

TEMPERATURES are set to cool off after Portsmouth basked in glorious sunshine over the bank holiday.

According to Gosport weather station, temperatures hit 23.2C in our area on Saturday.

It came after the sun shone on Friday for the VE Day 75 celebrations, as socially distant street parties were held across the city to mark the anniversary.

But temperatures are set to plunge over the coming days, according to the latest forecast.

Here is what the Met Office is forecasting for Portsmouth:

Sunday

It will be cloudy today with highs of 19C and lows of 6C.

Monday

The Met Office is predicting it will be sunny changing to cloudy in the afternoon.

There will be highs of 13C and lows of 4C

Tuesday

It will be sunny before changing to cloudy at lunchtime in Portsmouth on Tuesday.

According to the Met Office there will be highs of 13C and lows of 8C.

Wednesday

The Met Office is predicting the day will start of cloudy before changing to sunny intervals by late morning.

There will be highs of 14C and lows of 5C

Thursday

It will start sunny before changing to cloudy by lunchtime.

The Met Office is forecasting highs of 14C and lows of 8C.

Friday

According to the Met Office forecast it will be sunny on Friday.

There will be highs of 15C and lows of 8C.
