LIKE most little girls, Isobelle Jordan dreamed of her big day getting married.

But being struck down with a severe form of cancer threw everything up in the air and put her wedding plans on the backburner.

Now big-hearted friends have launched a fundraising campaign to make sure Isobelle’s dream comes true.

In just a few weeks, around £3,000 has been raised of the £10,000 target to make sure the 30-year-old has the best day of her life with a wedding with her partner, Graham Harley.

Isobelle, a mum-of-two who lives in Waterlooville, was diagnosed with an advanced neuroendocrine tumour last year – a diagnosis that left her family devastated.

Isobelle started chemotherapy soon after and another scan gave more heartbreaking news that the cancer had spread to her lungs.

She has since had a hysterectomy, three rounds of chemotherapy and will now go on to clinical trials as the cancer has spread to her liver.

Isobelle’s friend Jo Beech, a recruitment consultant from Denmead, set up the fundraising page.

‘No-one knows what the future holds, but I want to make one wish come true,’ said Jo, 26.

‘I want to be able to help them get married – let her little boy Bear, who is three, be a page boy and two-year-old daughter Isla be a flower girl.’

A sponsored dog walk takes place tomorrow to help with the fundraising bid.

People are invited to meet at 9am at Hayling Island Community Centre, in Station Road, and walk up the Hayling Billy Trail and back to help raise money.

Isobelle and her long-term partner Graham said they have been overwhelmed by the response so far.

Offers have already come in for free venues and make-up.

Southcoast Exotics & Marine, Isobelle’s old workplace in Cowplain, have donated £719.

Isobelle said: ‘We are both totally blown away by the generosity of people and so grateful for all donations big or small. We really can’t believe everything that has been done just for us. Thank you.’

Graham, a trade supervisor at Screwfix, said: ‘We are so humbled by people’s generosity and we appreciate everything people have done for us.

‘We could never have imagined that we would have so much interest and offers. It is Isobelle’s dream to get married and I am overwhelmed that we now have that opportunity to make it happen.’
