Your ideas are needed on heritage trail walk

WOULD you like to shape the way the city's heritage story is told?

Dr Ann Coats from the University of Portsmouth is leading a walk tomorrow from the Historic Dockyard to Victoria Park.

The aim is to gather ideas and opinions from the public about what heritage places should be included, what might be proposed to improve green spaces and how to link these places by walking.

The route will explore a trail from The Hard to Victoria Park, in the heart of the city centre, connecting heritage and green places, which is just under a mile.

It will explore questions including, ‘What do you like?’, ‘What do you dislike?’ and ‘What do we need to improve?’

The walk is free and open to all and will take up to two and a half hours.

Friends of the Earth are supporting the event as part of their Walking in Portsmouth Campaign, Portsea Action Group and Portsmouth Foodcycle.

It starts at 10am but will be rescheduled if the weather is bad.
