AN MP joined residents, staff and trustees to celebrate the 25th anniversary of care home Russell Churcher Court, run by Thorngate Churcher Trust.
Gosport MP Caroline Dinenage met residents of the 44-bed care home and sheltered flats in Gosport.
She said: ‘I’ve had the opportunity to see the wide range of residential care offered by Thorngate, from the sheltered flats which enable residents to retain their independence, but with great support through to the residential care in Russell Churcher Court.
‘It is these kind of developments which greatly encourage social interaction and combat loneliness and isolation.’
Thorngate chief executive Anne Taylor said it has been a great opportunity to showcase the facilities which employ about 80 local people.
