IT COULD have been left as a stark reminder to keep our beaches and oceans clean.

Fareham resident Mark Rutley was out to take pictures of the early morning sunrise when he spotted the sculpture.

The 61-year-old said the piece was there on Saturday and added: ‘It’s towards the Havant end of Langstone Bridge, on the other side of the Ship Inn, near the old Hayling Billy line.

‘This is definitely a piece of artwork, it’s man-made and I think it’s a stark reminder of the damage plastic and other waste does to the environment.

‘It’s shaped as a triangle, to me that signifies a warning sign.

‘I’d like to know who the artist is.’

The artwork contains shoes, plastic bottles, rope and other waste.
