A WANTED man who was serving life in prison has been spotted on CCTV at a church in Havant.
Jeremy Brabrooke, 56, absconded from HMP Ford, near Littlehampton, last Wednesday.
He is known to have links to Hayling Island and Portsmouth and Sussex police have released a CCTV image of him at St Faith’s Church, Havant, on Friday.
He was sentenced to life in prison in 1988 for murdering a 59-year-old woman in Bingley, West Yorkshire, in 1987.
He was 26 years old when he was sent to prison.
HMP Ford was converted to an open prison in 1960 and an open prison has the minimum restriction on inmates' movements and activities.
A Prison Service spokesperson told the BBC it is working closely with the police to recapture the individual.
In 2014, the BBC discovered that 89 inmates who had gone missing from Ford were unaccounted for.
