The animated band performed a warm-up show ahead of their upcoming tour - and here’s the best of the reaction from Twitter.

The gig was announced in mid-May, with tickets selling out within a day.

Gorillaz previously visited Portsmouth for a gig at Southsea’s Wedgewood Rooms in 2010.

The animated English band are led by musician Damon Albarn, also of Blur, and artist Jamie Hewlett.

Their warm-up gigs also included a show at St Albans last week, before their main tour starts later this year.
