Horndean's Marching Band of birthday greetings in 1985
You've heard of the Kissogram and Gorillagram but Horndean Marching Band presented their'¦Â Bandogram.
With a crash of cymbals and the boom of drums, the band gathered outside a house in Napier Road, Horndean, after being asked to serenade Jean Grinyer as a birthday surprise.
The young players took the novel request in their stride, performing to the high standard that had won them many trophies.
The band was also celebrating their promotion from the Novice to the Contest class for a national competition at the Royal Albert Hall the following March.Â
