A Fareham teenager was determined to learn to drive, even after she lost both of her legs to meningitis.

Kimberly O'Connor, 17, had resumed her driving lessons she was taking before her illness, which also left her without fingers on her left hand. Despite this, she was excited to learn again.

She learnt to drive in an automatic car that had all the controls located on the steering wheel. Kimberly said: '˜My first lesson went really well and it is great to be driving. '
