Waterlooville B lost ground as they went down by the odd frame against Waterlooville D at Aston Road.

Steve Wilson and Daniel Harvest were early winners but experienced pair Heath Smith and Steve Hughes made it 2-2.

Glen Gresham and Russ Linkhorn then took it back to 4-2. Wilson continued well in the doubles but another from Hughes kept it on a knife edge.

The division three table looks very competitive with a one-point gap between each position.

North End are at the summit after an emphatic home win over Copnor B.

It was 3-3 before the bowlers took over in the doubles as Colin Elliott, Mike Dorey and Ade Pledge got their second on the board.
