After losing their opening game 3-0 to Denmead, the reigning Mid-Solent League champions bounced back to defeat South Wonston Swifts 2-1 at Front Lawn.

‘We made hard work of it,’ said Harvest boss Ray Ogilvie.

‘This league is a lot more difficult than some of the players thought it would be. Some of them might have under-estimated it.

‘It’s going to take us time to adjust. At the moment we’re nowhere near it.

‘The biggest hurdle we have got to overcome is the players’ mental block.

‘I know the have the ability, but they need to knuckle down and work on their fitness, listen to what they’re being told and believe in themselves more.

‘If they can do all that then we can push on from being top 10 or top five and challenging.’

After being pegged back, Harvest won it when sub Kyle Davies crossed to the back post where Daniels powered in a 78th minute header.
