Double hat-trick takes Willett’s Sunday goal tally to 25 in just seven matches

Zak Willett struck a double hat-trick to maintain his blistering start to the Portsmouth Sunday League season.

The pacy striker took his tally to an eye-popping 25 goals in just seven appearances as Southsea United blitzed Lifting Gear & Safety Rovers in the Portsmouth & District Trophy.

Willett has scored at least three times in six of his seven games for Southsea in 2020/21, and apart from his six goals against Lifting Gear he has also netted five against Fratton Trades A and four against AFC Lakeside Refit.

Dave Gleeson and Alfie Granger also netted in the Trophy success.

A hat-trick from Matt Gibson saw Co-op Dragons progress with a 3-1 win against Friends Fighting For Cancer Reserves. Joe Penny replied before he was sent off.

Sub Scott Shearman made a huge impact in Cross Key Athletic Reserves’ 6-2 victory over TML.

He scored four times with Josh Crook and Louis White also netting.

Bradley Hartill hit a hat-trick as AC Copnor caned AFC Lakeside Refit 7-1. Bobby Read (2), Dan Hayter and Oliver Warren were also on target.

Freehouse A won 4-0 at Gosport Spartans with goals from Ben Gauntlet, Jordan Lane, James Michelin and Lewis Clarke.
