After starting the season with two defeats, the Reds bounced back with a deserved 2-1 ‘El Creekio’ derby win against AFC Portchester in midweek.

Now Stiles is demanding his players show the same commitment and application to put a winning run together.

'The way we beat Portchester was pleasing but it is just one game,' he said.

'If we want to be up there challenging we have to do that week in week out.

'Successful sides get into the habit of doing the right things consistently.

'It is no good only doing it now and then.

'We must maintain our concentration and workrate because we have now shown that we can do it.

'Our first two results were disappointing so it will be interesting to see what we get at Brockenhurst.

'Hopefully it will be positive.

'Brockenhurst are always well-drilled and prepared to battle to the end.'

Stiles will name a similar squad with Connor Messenbird serving the last game of his suspension following two red cards in four games prior to last season’s abrupt finish.

Michael Birmingham's side have started with two solid home wins against Bournemouth Poppies and Fleet Town.

'We have done well at home now we have to show that we can do it on the road,' said Birmingham.

'Starting with six from six at home is pleasing.

'It is important that we hit the ground running at the start of the season.

'We haven't done so for a couple of years.

'At the moment we are focusing on getting the job done one game to the next.

'Against Fleet we stood up well against a big, strong physical side.

'It won't be easy at Shaftesbury where they have Connor Millar in midfield.

'He plays for the Republic of Ireland’s Futsal team and is technically very good.

'One thing guaranteed is that he will get shots off from anywhere and he is a player I rate.'

Millar was on target in a 2-1 win against Amesbury last weekend, but the north Dorset club then lost 2-1 at home to Poppies in midweek.

The visitors have injury doubts over Harry Jackson and Jack Lee, but Sam Hookey and Connor Duffin are back in contention.
