Hawks' clash at Welling United off after positive coronavirus result

The Hawks' National League South trip to Welling United today has been postponed because of a positive coronavirus result in the opposition camp.

The Wings were forced to call the clash off after a member of their playing staff contracted Covid-19.

Welling have now postponed their next four fixtures, starting with the scheduled meeting with the Hawks today, as all players and staff enter a 14-day period of isolation.

It's the second successive match Paul Doswell's side have seen postponed because of Covid-19.

They were due to make the trip to Bath City in midweek but that was called off by the hosts over coronavirus concerns.

The Hawks will have gone 16 days without a fixture when they take on Marine in the FA Cup second round live on BT Sport next Sunday.
