Goalkeeper Ben Dudzinski praised the Hawks’ collective defensive effort as they battled to 0-0 draw at Chesterfield.
Dudzinski pulled off a remarkable double-save in stoppage-time to ensure his side a share of the spoils at the Proact Stadium.
The Hawks edged the opening half and had the better chances.
But after the break the home side laid siege to the visitors’ goal for long periods.
And a terrific backs-to-the-wall performance kept the home side at bay.
‘We are happy to come away with a point and I thought the team defended superbly,’ said Dudzinski.
‘They threw everything at us but we stood up to it.
‘In the first half we were the better side and created the better chances.
‘I was pleased to make my contribution with the saves but it was a superb team effort.
‘The whole back four were immense.
‘It isn't easy standing up to a barrage like that for so long.
‘For the last save I just flung myself across the goal and wasn't sure if I'd got enough on it.
‘I had to watch agonisingly as it hit the bar and then got back quickly for the rebound.'
