Danny Thompson's side stretched their lead over closest Hampshire Premier Senior Division title rivals Bush Hill to 12 points following a 3-1 triumph at Sway.

That was because Bush were surprisingly held 0-0 at Lyndhurst - a side Infinity swamped 14-0 before Christmas.

Along with topping the league, Infinity are also still in the Southampton Intermediate and Hampshire Premier League Cups - the two trophies they won last season.

Thompson's troops have an Intermediate Cup quarter-final at Southampton Leaguers Braishfield this Saturday followed by a HPL Cup semi-final against Colden Common the following Wednesday (February 19).

‘We’ve got to keep it going now,' said Thompson.

‘We’ve got a break from league fixtures as we go into two cup games now.

‘This weekend is a game I’m definitely looking at us winning.

‘But it’s a cup game, a one-off, and they’ve got nothing to lose.

‘We’ll be the favourites, but it does give me a chance to keep the consistency going.

‘It’s a chance to get more minutes into the lads’ legs after a few weeks without matches.

‘We’re really looking forward to it and it’s two cup competitions that we want to win.'

Andy Powell struck the first of his two goals at Sway on 40 minutes to put the visitors in front.

Danny Phillips doubled Infinity's advantage on the hour before Powell struck again soon after.

Lewis Ainebyona struck Sway’s consolation four minutes from time.
