Jackett confirms ex-Cork City winger is on Portsmouth's radar
Kenny Jackett has admitted Kieran Sadlier is on his radar.
But Pompey's boss insists nothing is planned imminently to secure the prolific ex-Cork City winger.
The Blues were earlier this week linked with a move for the free agent following the end of the SSE Airtricity League premier division season.
The left-sided wide man had been in impressive form for Cork, netting in last weekend's FAI Cup final defeat to Dundalk ahead of his contract expiry.
Pompey's recruitment team are continuing to plot their January transfer window movement, identifying a number of targets.
And Jackett is familiar with the talents of the former Peterborough and St Mirren player.
He said: '˜I am certainly aware of the player (Sadlier).
'˜There are no plans to move him in, the Irish League has just finished and some people are out of contract.
'˜I wouldn't say it's a situation we are not aware of, right the way through that league we know, which is where we signed Ronan Curtis from.
'˜There are no plans for either a trial or to sign somebody imminently.
'˜He's a player I know, but there are no plans right now to sign him.'
Sadlier, who comes from Haywards Heath, appeared against Pompey in July 2016 while with Sligo Rovers.
Introduced as a second-half substitute, he netted twice in two minutes as the hosts fought back from a three-goal deficit to draw the friendly 3-3.
The 24-year-old later moved to Cork, although didn't feature in this summer's friendly against Jackett's side.
The Blues won that Turner's Cross encounter 4-0, with Curtis handed a maiden appearance following May's switch from Derry City.
