Pompey fell to a 2-1 loss to the high fliers after Adam Armstrong’s winner three minutes from time.
It was rough on the Blues who were left to rue not taking one of the number of sights of goal which came their way.

Hide AdJackett was pleased with the character of his side, despite being left empty handed.
He said: ‘We put a lot of pressure on, played at a good tempo and showed a good attitude.
‘There was a high number of chances. At times I thought we were trying to knock the door down and not unlock it.
‘We were unlucky to lose the game overall but Armstrong was clinical on two occasions.
‘The second one came off Matt Clarke’s second leg somehow – and he didn’t need a second invitation.
‘We had momentum at times but it looked like it was petering out for a draw.’
