Mad for football? Crazy celebrations could earn you Â£1000

A PUB has teamed up with Jimmy Bullard to announce its search for the most over-the-top goal celebrations.

The Baffins Greene King pub in Portsmouth is looking for locals whose viewing jubilations easily rival those of the footballers on the pitch.

A total of £1,000 is up for grabs for the best ‘CeleBEERtion.’ Jimmy Bullard’s 2008 goal celebration mocking Hull City manager Phil Brown is ranked among the top ten celebrations of all time.

He said: ‘Outside the stadium there’s no better place to watch a football game than down the pub.

‘Whether you pull your shirt over your head like Ravenelli, do the Peter Crouch robot, or something completely different when you celebrate, we want to see it.’

The competition is being launched through Baffins’s ‘Season Ticket’ discount card, which offers guests 10 per-cent off selected drinks during live football.
