But chairman Pete Seiden revealed the club will temporarily stop playing moving forward if they are unable to generate enough income on a match-day to cover costs while the government's three-tier system remains in place.

The tie with division-higher Southern League Premier South Truro promises to be a great occasion for Moneyfields as they feature in the FA Trophy first round for the first time.

However, the build-up has been blighted by the increased restrictions being placed on 'non-elite' clubs as they prepare to return to competitive action after a month-long suspension.

Last week's three-tier announcement has left teams at step three and below facing some tighter measures when the nationwide lockdown is lifted on Wednesday.

Tier two, which Moneys fall under, restricts the sale of food and drink at grounds - although Seiden revealed the clubhouse will be serving 'substantial meals' in line with the government guidelines for Saturday's FA Trophy tie.

Meanwhile, fixtures must be played behind closed doors in areas where home teams are placed in tier three.

Seiden admitted without any secondary spend Moneys would not be able to continue playing this season.

But the Moneys chairman is planning on using the Truro tie as a trial to see how things pan out with Portsmouth placed under tier two restrictions.

‘The gate money doesn’t cover your costs ever,' revealed Seiden.‘It never has done and it never will do.

‘I think we’re going to give it a go Saturday.

‘We’ve got a board meeting this Wednesday and one next Wednesday and then we’ll decide, as a club (about continuing playing), but currently we’re going to serve the meals, give it a go and do our best.

‘If we haven’t got enough volunteers to police it properly we’ll stop and if we don’t have enough money we’ll stop. We’ll have no choice to.

‘We’ll see how we go.'

Moneys will have a representative attend a virtual meeting tomorrow where clubs are expected to vote on a Southern League restart.

Moneyfields are due back in league action on next Wednesday (December 9) when they travel to Frome Town in Division One South.
