National League still to approve Hawks fans' return for Hemel Hempstead visit

Hawks are still waiting on National League approval to for the return of fans to Westleigh Park tomorrow night.

The club were hoping to welcome supporters back for their league meeting with Hemel Hempstead (7.45pm).

Yet, the Hawks have yet to be given the green light to reopen their turnstiles.

They have been granted approval from the Safety Advisory Group at Hampshire County Council but the National League are still give them the go ahead.

Work has been ongoing at the ground since the government announcement that supporters could return to elite stadia last Thursday.

The club are confident they have done all required in order for the safe return of supporters.

But they await confirmation fans can attend a fixture for the first time since March when Hemel visit in the National League South.

As things stand, Southport’s home clash with Farsley Celtic is the only fixture of the six National League games taking place across the three divisions taking place tomorrow that has been grant permission to all fans to attend.
