‘We changed the system to throw more bodies forward with an opportunity of getting some goals in the bag.

‘We're neck and neck on the goal difference with Bournemouth.

‘We’re still not ruthless enough in front of goal.

‘It was comfortable and we played some lovely football.

‘Bournemouth are scoring freely against the bottom sides, whereas we’re winning comfortably but they’re kind of smashing the lower sides.

‘On the whole, it was a very good performance and we’re happy to maintain the unbeaten run.

‘Maybe I’m being selfish, but I always want that little bit more.'

The game at Dover Road went ahead despite the coronavirus pandemic.

'What we did was just use common sense,’ said Watson.

‘We didn’t shake hands when they arrived.

‘I put anti-bacterial wipes and hand soap in both changing rooms. As opposed to the line-up and handshake, we went rugby-style with it.'
