Maybe the players were as frustrated as the fans about the one style of play. We cannot just play well against one style of play. We have to adapt when teams do not come to play football.

From where i was sitting we played well first half. Hardly the manager’s fault if two experienced players have a pop at each other. At least they care! Would also explain why we were not quite at it in the second half.

Oh to be a fly on the wall of the dressing room. This could be the wheels well and truly coming off. Unacceptable at any level.

It’s easy to make assumptions - rather than Cook ‘losing it’ it could easily be argued he showed management by removing these two players. We don’t know what went on in the dressing room but perhaps he could only do one thing about the situation, which could have been a good managerial decision.

Cook needs to go. Another inept performance led by poor management choices.

Archie Medes

First off we need to give Cook some credit for being straight with us. That said, along with the same old story of inconsistency with seemingly no answer to it, it is worrying what is going on behind the scenes.

Pompey Banana

Well the result was, I’m afraid, all too predictable. What’s not to like? We’re only points off the automatic spots and seven off top spot with 27 games to go. We have an experienced manager who has led teams out of this division, with his man management skills and tactical nous.

Suspend them both, and fine them a couple of weeks wages. Disgusting behaviour which potentially cost us 3 points, and is unacceptable! Thoroughly unprofessional.

After this farce - it seems we may once again have shot ourselves in the foot. There is clearly a problem in the dressing room - and that may explain a lot of what has been going on this season on the pitch...?

Shocking that two players get into such serious fight they both have to be substituted. Don’t think it’s ever happened before at Pompey. But when one is your captain and leader something is seriously wrong. Time for every single player (and Cook) to take a long hard look at themselves and ask if they are earning their money. Success is all about the standards you set. It appears our players and management are not setting their standards anywhere near high enough. This suggests trouble behind the scenes and it makes you wonder if the squad is divided in the way a lot of people think it is. If it is it explains why we only turn in a decent performance every so often.
