Jack Whatmough heads a strong Pompey side on reserve duty tonight.

The fit-again defender is named in the Blues’ starting XI for the visit of their Oxford United counterparts at Baffins Milton Rovers (7pm).

Kenny Jackett has selected eight players with first-team experience this season – plus summer signing Louis Dennis.

Joining Whatmough are Luke McGee, Anton Walkes, Brandon Haunstrup, Ben Thompson, Danny Rose, David Wheeler and Joe Mason.

For the Gosport youngster and Walkes, it will be the opportunity for prized match minutes after recently returning from injuries sustained against Plymouth.

Entry for the PMC Stadium friendly is free, although supporters are asked to pay a minimum contribution of £2.

Proceeds will be presented to Pompey Women.
