Kenny Jackett has been nominated for the Sky Bet League One manager of the month award for November.
The Pompey boss is joined on the short-list by Wycombe’s Gareth Ainsworth, Lee Bowyer (Charlton), and Luton’s Nathan Jones.
The Blues played only three league games during the month but maintained their position at the top of the standings by claiming maximum points from those fixtures.
Gareth Evans handed Jackett’s side a 1-0 victory at Bradford on November 3 – and that was followed by another away win against Scunthorpe more than 20 days later.
Tom Naylor and Evans, again, were on the mark in the 2-1 win at Glanford Park.
Pompey wrapped up an impressive month in League One with a midweek 2-0 victory over Walsall at Fratton Park on November 27.
Goals either side of half-time from Oli Hawkins and Ronan Curtis allowed the Blues to open up a four-point advantage at the top of the table.
In between those league games, Pompey beat Maidenhead 4-0 in the FA Cup and Spurs’ under-21s 3-2 in the Checkatrade Trophy – but those games will not be taken into consideration.
Jackett will know if he’s been successful on Friday.
The Blues return to league action on Saturday, when they play host to Southend United.
