However, Ellis Harrison is available for selection after his partner gave birth at the weekend.

And manager Jackett believes he’ll not be available for the visit of Joey Barton’s seventh-place side to Fratton Park.

When asked about injuries during his pre-match press conference today, the manager said: ‘The only one (injury) we have from Saturday is Ben Close, whose struggling with an ankle injury and I don’t think will be fit for Fleetwood.

‘Ellis trained and is back and available after quite a busy weekend.’

Sixth-placed Pompey are ahead of the Cod Army in the League One table on goal difference, with both teams sitting on 59 points.

They are two of six teams currently on 59 points, with Peterborough (fourth), Sunderland (fifth) and Wycombe (eighth) also on the same number of points.
