How far Pompey supporters will travel to every Championship club - including Middlesbrough, Cardiff City and Plymouth

Pompey know 22 out of the 23 other teams in the 2024/25 Championship - and this is how far away they are from them.

Pompey have known for more than a month that they will be playing Championship football in the 2024/25 season.

John Mousinho's men ended their days in the third tier by winning the league title in mid-April against Barnsley. Since then the club have started getting Fratton Park up to standard and have made decisions on their playing squad for the next campaign.

No new signings have arrived yet but they will come in the coming weeks and months. Transfer rumours continue to circulate but as of yet no player is holding up a scarf or posing in the new shirt and that's to be expected as Pompey are a club that like to keep their business close to their chest.

In the mean time, those associated with Pompey will see whether their South Coast rivals Southampton will be playing in the same division next year or playing Premier League football. They play Leeds United on Sunday, May 26 in the Championship play-off final.

A total of 16 miles separate Pompey and Southampton and that for sure would be the closest game that they would have next season. If the Saints do bounce back up at the first attempt then there won't be a local derby to look forward to, though some have an interest when they play Plymouth Argyle.

Pompey know 22 out of the other 23 teams that they will be playing next season and the fixtures come out in mid-June. Supporters are already beginning to draw up a list on where they would most likely want to go only for their hopes to be dashed just a few weeks later when it’s placed on a midweek when most are working.

Here are all the stadiums Pompey supporters will head to and round-trip mileage (as calculated by AA route planner’s quickest route from Fratton Park), running from nearest to longest trip.
